About My Research

Indonesia has one of the world’s most biodiverse marine ecosystems, and it’s disappearing as we speak. One promising approach to address this issue involves utilizing green mussels (Perna viridis), a native species renowned for bioaccumulating organic and inorganic contaminants. I investigated the potential of green mussels to filter physical, chemical, and biological contaminants and published a research paper in collaboration with Prof. Evi Siti Sofiyah of Universitas Pertamina.

I collaborated with Ancol, Indonesia's largest seaside destination, to implement biofiltration systems as part of their coastal management programs, and the Korea Water Forum, who invited me as 1 out of 4 Indonesians to present my research at Youth Water Forum Asia.
