Project Buzz is a student-run news agency I helped shape during the COVID-19 pandemic. Originally founded to serve as both a relief agency for underprivileged communities and frontline workers, it also became a go-to source for reporting on social issues in Indonesia. The agency gained traction when I joined as a writer in June 2021, during a period of national debate over controversial laws like the Omnibus Law and the Sexual Violence Crime Bill (RUU TPKS). Recognizing the importance of these issues, I proposed we shift our focus to in-depth coverage of such topics, which significantly boosted our readership.
